I don't wear a Venturer sash- but if I did, I could still be in full
uniform without it, since the sash is optional. I don't think it's
optional for Cubs, but I still wouldn't insist on it at ALL occasions.
You wouldn't need it to provide service, or something like that.
Our Scout Shop won't sell epaulets one at a time, but only in pairs. :)

You're right- I didn't realize that the epaulette is on the shirt.
In my Venturer Handbook, it's referred to as Venturer insignia. My old
Scout book called what PL's used to wear shoulder insignia. I guess
they're called insignia.
