Well, I want to thank those who responded to my question on Parlimentary
Procedure. Susan, Andrew and Lynn, are you the only three here who use it?
The summation is basically keep it simple. We have set our positions as
Moderator, Co-moderator, Secretary, Treasurer, and Scribe. Then we set up
commitees to do anything else. The title President just seemed to
powerful a word for them. Didn't need bosses. Any other ideas?
As far as the buddy burners, Sara and Lynn thanks for your suggestions.
Sounds like melting cheese is a favorite pastime! Nachos and Grilled
Doesn't anyone use these any more, or have you all come to rely on
propane. Our troop doesn't use propane yet. Although I hear council is
starting to push it. We only use campfires, dutch ovens with coal, buddy
burners, and of course, pie irons! Plus always carry a non-cooking meal
for the weather times.
Here's what we did with our buddy burners. Each scout got 2 slices of
bread, an egg, 2 pre-cooked sausage links, a slice of cheese. We made
available oil, milk, butter and syrup. They cooked their own breakfast in
the style they liked. (With some leader input.) Had great results, the
girls had everything from omelets to french toast. It was really fun.
Any other ideas? We had thought pizza with those biscuits. Maybe next time!
