A separate uniform for ANY segment of a troop seems inappropriate. If it
isn't worn by all then it is not appropriate. Temper that slightly!! If
SMs wear campaign hats that's fine, but so can any scout. But if you are
developing a special shirt to distinguish SMs, ASMs, I think the SMs, ASMs
are setting themselves apart by dress. That does not seem consistent with
BTW, to me field uniform is the standard BSA uniform. I think the list
has had the discussion before but I can't find a reference to Class A or
Class B uniform, only field and activity, in the handbook. If you equate
the military Class A to the dress uniform you have what BSA calls field
uniform. If you equate military class B to fatigues, you have what BSA calls
activity uniform. I do not understand Class B Field uniform.
