The following is copied from the 1994 Kenmore East high school
FOOTBALL program! ( I think it might be a poem, author unknown)
Please don't curse that
child out there,
That's my child you see.
That's only just a child, you know,
and means a lot to me.
We didn't raise our children, dear fans
For YOU to call them names.
They're not trying to be super stars,
For them its sports and games.
So please don't curse the kids out there,
They never try to loose.
Try not to show your ignorance fans,
The fans they can not choose.
The game belongs to them you see,
and you are just a guest.
They don't need a fan like you,
They need the very best.
If you have nothing nice to say,
Please leave the kids alone.
And if you have no manners,
Why don't you stay at home?
So Please don't curse the kids
Each one's their parents own.
Win or loose or tie you see,
to us, they're number '1'.
