What was meant as an off the cuff remark seems to be eating quite a bit
of bandwidth on the list. So, in an effort to clear thing up....
I for one do not see advanced electronics as a replacement for any of
the "traditional" skills, but as an adjunct. Much like a good compass
along with the map.
The oft quoted remark was intended to illustrate the dependance on high
tech - not to encourage it!
