First Aid Dilemma

Brian Davis does raise an interesting question about possible liability
from First Aid acts done improperly by Scouts trained by leaders.
While this may be worrisome, surely it indicates a problem not with our
training (although I know it can be improved) but with our society as a
whole, when we are more concerned with avoiding possible legal issues
then we are with helping someone in distress. I believe we should help
as much as we can, to the limits of our knowledge and ability (training)
whenever and wherever that help is needed. In the meantime, we can keep
our knowledge refreshed and up-to-date as possible with practice.
