I believe the violation you may or may not be violating is one of the
COPE standards on height.
The first standard is that all COPE activities or activities containing
COPE-like stuff must follow COPE standards
As i remember it, once you are above 12 feet off the ground, you are required
to have two points of attachment and probably a camp school certified COPE
director. I'm pretty sure it was 12 feet. a Zip-line regardless of
height is probably considered a COPE-like element which means it should
have two points of attachment (main pulley and backup pulley on second
safety cable....all safety equipment....rescue rope...knife...spare
biners.... and the camp-school COPE director.
