LDS troop merges w/ non LDS

I found this to be very interesting. My brother-in-law's troop, which was an
LDS troop, has merged with the "City" Troop. Both troops were struggling
with lack of qualified and interested adults, resources, and of course boys.
After a few meetings with both committees, they decided to merge the two
Troop 51 (Choteau, MT) is now charted by the City (I think, if not some other
local group which is not a church). The committee is made up of both LDS and
Non-LDS parents. The SM is LDS, but the ASM is not.
The troop follows MOST of the LDS policies.
What is neat is that, despite the thought in the beginning that this would
result in a nightmare, it has turned out beautifully. (See my previous post
