I agree in part... However, THE BOY must be the one who desires the Eagle
more than anything in the world.. yes, even more than all the other
distractions of this age. You see it is the motivation, the planning,
actually the experience that matures the boy. The road less traveled, if
you will. I as a Scoutleader cannot and should not be the motivation for
Eagle. I can only be the one that will walk that path with him, to be
there for him. Yes, I agree that there SOMETIMES might have to be a
carrot waiting to keep attention centered... But, the genuine "want to"
HAS to come from the boy.
