Whenever I had a transfer into the troop, I would request that the 1) Scout
or Scouter request from his losing unit a transfer form with all the dates
filled in. 2) request the district/council advancement committee to get the
transfer paperwork, especially on Scouters. OR 3) call the losing SM/CM to
provide the transfer sheet. There is an official transfer form from BSA. I
found that Council registrars and advancement committee members like it. I
also accepted sheets from Troopmaster that were signed. I also used the
handbook, blue cards, etc. when composing a history on the Scout or Scouter.
