Our district has outings when no ground fires is the norm. Are events are
usually held during the dry summer. We have constructed "raised" fire beds
from plowing discs. We contact farmers until we find one that has to replace
the discs and ask them for them. We then employ the use of a welder to cut
a small circle out of one to become the base. The other disc sits on top
and stands about two feet off of the ground. After the fire cools, the ashes
are placed in the garbage and everything is removed from the area.
Hope that helps.
