In reply to Rex Goode's question about back yard camping in the Boy Scouts,
I have only found it helpful during the winter months, I'm in Idaho. We
try to have our first winter camp in a back yard and use it as a "shake down"
for our coming winter activities. It has proven to be a valuable camp in
that we are able to teach the boys what they will need for the camp. We also
avoid any problems with the cold since we always have a house available for
the one or two that packed for a summer camp.
