I agree with you. Otherwise you will soon become a badge-a-month club. Working
an occasional MB at a troop meeting is OK, but not more that 1 or 2 'minor'
My committee is also beginning to put pressure on me to have lots of MBs earned
the meetings. I intend to put them off by starting a Venture program now that
have enough First Class 13 year olds.
A few year back, the prior SM had a counselor come in for the Citizenship series
The councelor even brought notebooks and paper for the scouts, but still only ab
25% of the boys completed the badges. The other scouts quickly lost interest in
meetings and were off playing games.
