I'm sure your friends' lawyer was sincere in suggesting that the name Boy
and Girl Scouts of the USA would be okay. However, unless he/she is a
very experienced intellectual property lawyer, he/she is out of his/her
league. I doubt very much whether a Court would support that name - it is
to close to both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts which are protected. Because
it would cause confusion with the general public, it is most likely the
BSA or GSA would win in a confrontation over the name. Speaking in this
case as a lawyer . . .
