The impression up here is that in the not too distant future Australia
will declare itself a republic, leave the Commonwealth, remove the Queen
as head of state and generally stick two fingers up at Britain (so the
tabloids here seem to think!:-) I mean the prime minister actually *TOUCHED*
the Queen. How could he ? :-)) ) Which raises the question, would it still
be appropriate to award Queen's Scout Awards ?? If not, are there any
plans to change it and if so to what ?
