Our Pack does not charge dues but everyone pays their own recharter
including adults. We sell popcorn as our fall fund raiser and we
do a pancake breakbast in the Spring. The pancake breakfast gets more
successful each year. The boys and their parents sign up for a
one hour shift. The parents do the cooking and the boys do the
Den dues is up to each den. My den's dues is $1.50 a month.
Someone mentioned a cake bake. Our pack has a fellowers cake which
the scout bakes a cake with their dad or a male adult. No female
help at all. I personnelly like this one - HA HA - my husband
had to do two cakes with our sons last year - and will be for a
few more years. Each son ofcourse want his own cake. The cakes
are judged by scout theme and ofcourse how nice they look.
After they have been judged (by a cubmaster from another pack),
then the cakes are bided on. The highest bider gets first pick.
Then the bid starts over for the next pick. Cakes usually start
around $25 and last ones go for about $3.00. Our pack gives
the money raised from this cake bake to HELPING HANDS.
