Read your posting about the "Show and Do" offerings that may districts
and councils offerred in the past. In the George Washington District, NCAC
we still offer such courses from time to time. The most popular time to offer
such a course has been as an adult program during the district camporee. Such
timing requires the unit to bring additional adult leadership, but most have
been able to make such arrangements. The reason that most adult leaders like
this arrangement is that it offers training with the need to find yet more hours
in their schedules for training.
One additional thought is that "Show and Do" programs should be scheduled
only when there is a need or at least when you are sure that you can offer a
quality program. We have found when a program is repeated, it seldom meets
the felt needs of the Scouters.

Sargeant. Speaking only for myself in the scouting spirit.
