Even in the face of the disaster of an Amtrak crash, the BSA comes through! It
was sure nice to see in the morning's paper a fairly prominent article about
Troop 114 (also saw it as 110) who was on the train that crashed in Batavia NY.
The troop was "heading to New Mexico for a hiking trip" and assisted in the
immediate confusion following the crash. They helped passengers get out of the
wreck, assisted in getting people up the hillside (the article said they
carried a baby carriage up the hill), and were generally pretty helpful.
This was also on the morning news and showed pictures of the young men... in
full uniforms, looking very calm. Sure makes you proud!!
