Frank, any suitable patch can be worn as temporary insignia, so they
would be OK on the patch vest as long as they do not violate Scout
spirit, not that you would allow that anyway. I do question whether
commercial patches would be permitted though. State Parks, yes. Coca Cola?
probably no. We do wear Trails End popcorn patches since they are an
approved fundraiser, but it makes it a little harder to tell what
is appropriat and what is not. For instance would a patch from a
commercially operated amusement park be OK, like Disneyworld or Six Flags?
What about patches from a visit to a military base?
