I had been thinking the other day about my own tenure in Scouts and as a
Scouter and realized that I have spent nearly half of my life in
Scouting. My Cubs often innocently ask me if I was a Cub Scout when I was
young. I explain that I was a Brownie and then a Girl Scout.
I would like to be able to wear the tenure pins that show how much time I
have spent in Scouting including the youth tenure, but have not had the
opportunity to see the regs on this.
Does adult participation only include time in a leadership position or
does it include all time registered?
What about those Girl Scouting years?
I have often seen posts encouraging us to get the insignia guide or some
other official publication, but have never seen these publications listed
in the Scout Catalog. Is there some way of tracking these things down
that you folks can reveal to me?
