Since this is a permanent patch, this award may be one of the exceptions to
the rule about not wearing youth awards as an adult. BTW, the award could
be earned by adults at the time as well. The requirements for earning it
as a Cub, Boy Scout, Explorer or adult leader all differed but the same
strip was used. Thus I certainly was allowed to move it to my Boy Scout
and Sea Scout uniforms even though I earned it as a Cub. Besides, I don't
believe adults can wear boy awards even on the wool jac shirt either :-)
