I wasn't about to try camping when I was 7-9 months pregnant. But then I was
house bound since my 6th month with my first, but that's another story.
I did take my newborn camping though, and had a great time (3 weeks old at the
time). Before the days of Snugglies I had something similar that my sister
made for me. It was great it kept my hands free, and Nicole slept contentedly
in it when I was away from the unit area. In the unit area I had a portable
playpen set up (smaller than the ones most people have in their homes) for
Nicole to get some 'freedom'. Anyway I enjoyed the campout, and my Juniors
enjoyed having a baby to help take care. Nicole started sleeping through
the night (11pm-mid until 5 or 6 am) at 3 days old. I'm not sure I would
have wanted to camp otherwise.
