Welcome Anne! First of all, make sure your Pack gets you registered as
soon as possible. Don't let them wait until the fall. This way you will
start getting Scouting, the magazine for registered leaders. In
it will be the Webelos Program Helps with suggested topics for each week's
meeting based on the National theme for the month. Find out when the next
Cub Scout Basic Leader Training session is and sign up for it. There is a
lot of valuable information on running Den Meetings and how the Webelos
program works. Attend the monthly Cub Leader's Roundtable for your
District. If they run theirs like ours, there will be a special session
for Webelos leaders with even more ideas for Den activities. If your
Council is having a Pow Wow, sign up for that and take as many of the
Webelos sessions you can fit in. And, of course, ask your questions here,
you will get lots of advice!
Yours in Scouting,
