You're right...my mistake there...southWEST Asia.
Nome is part of the Midnight Sun Council, headquarted in Fairbanks,
Alaska. Direct Service does NOT include ANY areas that is presently
served by a BSA Council (in other words, no place in the USA; but
anyplace outside of the United States, it's territories, and
possessions. All of the USA is covered by a local Council with the
lone exception of the Panama Canal Zone, which is part of the Direct
Service Council since 1990.

The Phillipines District does not exist anymore and those lone units
that are left are now part of the Central District operating from
Tokyo. The Phillipines will go to Direct Service in another four or
