You Bum! You and Steve were the *only* reasons why we were going to
NOAC this summer!! What a rook!! *heheeheheheh* *lots of laughter
from this end*
Seriously, I'm sorry you won't be there to greet and see all of us
this summer...Jessiann says you still owe her a dance, and she was
thinking of collecting then *hehehe*. Oh well....she said "save it
for the wedding!" (and you WILL be coming to that, baseball or no!!)
Aside the personal comments to Don, I don't mind having a "contingent
flap" for those going...a while back, we talked about the idea of a
Scouts-l patch of some sort and the idea, when proposed, was a great
idea but died a slow death in about two weeks or so. Part of the
problem was how to design the patch and show everyone before we got
a concensus (?) of the "subscribers" before production. As I've
mentioned before, I got a great deal with the folks at Stadri Emblems
(the makers of the famous College Scouter CSPs for Eastern Kentucky
and Idaho State Universities), and I am sure that we could work out a
great deal with them, with the "profits" going to the World Friendship
Or...how about a picture of the participants that we can scan and
upload to the archives as the first entry in our "scrapbook"? I
realize that this can become a VERY LARGE THING and we would all want
to add other things as time goes onward, but....
Don, I think the restriction placed on NOAC participants really stink,
and I feel that we will miss you and others that couldn't make the
trip. However, like we did for the Jamboree, I am sure that someone
(or a couple of folks) will be sending back to us news and information
from the Conference as Lynn did for the National Girl Scouting Meeting
and as several of us did for the Jamboree.
Oh yeah...did anyone attend sessions of the National BSA Meeting that
would like to share with all of us? I've heard bits and pieces but
not the entire story....
