Yes the scouts do love ships, In Buffalo N.Y. we have a Naval museum
which contains a WWII sub, Cruiser and a destroyer which scouts and other
groups for a fee are allowed to stay over night on. It's something our
pack does once every 2 years and they love it. You sleep in the racks on
the ships eat in the galley and they show movies on one of the aft
decks. For this old salt it was reminiscent of past times and the kids
were free to explore the ships, what fun. By the way CIC stands for
Combat information Center, where in a time of fighting all radar and
tactical contacts and decisions on those contacts are monitored and
handled they receive the tactical information for the ship to fight with.
