I'm not sure if you mean Shows or Ceremonies, or if you are using the terms
interchangably. I worked on Ceremonies for all of my years as a youth member
of my Lodge. I also assist to advise the team today. As for shows, this
weekend (June 3, 4, and 5) Mantowagan Lodge #14 is hosting a Council
Camporall for Hudson Liberty Council at Liberty State Park. I am serving as
Advisor to the Shows sub-committee of the Camporall Committee. My Chairman
and his committee have done a fantastic job in putting together this show.
I'd love to tell everyone about it, but a few people on the list are
attending and I would like to keep the show a surprise. Next week I'll tell
everyone all about it. I will say that the Lodge Dance Team will perform as
well as a Call-out ceremony by the Lodge Cermonies Team for all Council
In case anyone will be in the New York City area this weekend, feel free to
stop in and see a Scout Camporall under the shadow of the Statue of Liberty.
There should be three Sea Explorer Ships in attendance, as well as Packs,
Troops , and Posts. This year we have begun to attract out-of-Council units
to attend. This event is held every two years, although this is the first
time the OA Lodge has taken on the job of running it. I doubt the Lodge will
do it again in 1996 because we will be hosting the Section Conclave that
