I have just finished reading Patrick Boyle's book "Scout's Honor". I found
it very educational. He was able to obtain some 200 of BSA confidential
files on child abusers that had been dismissed from Scouting, and did follow
up interviews with these people, many who were in prison. I found it very
informative to learn how there people were able to move from one location
and Scouting unit to some other location and gain the trust of the Scouts
and their parents and start the process over again.
Many Scouters seem to feel he was just out to make a buck off Scouting, but
I felt that he treated BSA fairly in the book and it is worthwhile to read
it for the information on how child abusers operate.
