I have no idea whether the thicker versus thinner spacers
make any difference. We always use washers because thats
what we leave in the dutch oven. (or coins because we can
always scrape together 3 cents.)

Yes, your leg is being pulled. When _Woods Wisdom_ (correct spelling)
first came out, each troop in our council was limited to one copy. So
I made a couple extra copies at work. I also placed each copy into a
new binder which I had labeled with the title. A coworker who knew
nothing of scouts came by, saw the binders and assumed that I had
written a book (and named it after myself).
I told a couple of scouters this story, and they have taken it upon
themselves to introduce me as the "author" of _Wood's Wisdom_ at
It is interesting to note how few people question me being the author
(particularly given that much of the material in the book is recycled
from years long gone by).
