All this talk about Boys' Life reminded me:
Does anyone have access to the old Boys' Life Reprints? I would love to
get copies of all of them. Will gladly reimburse expenses.
I only have the Indian Lore one, and will gladly make copies for anyone
interested. It's about 16 pages doubled sided and contains mostly
half-page articles (with illustrations) of how-to-do's about American
Indian related topics (mostly costumes and accessories).
Questions to you trivia fiends (and to which I don't know the answers):
Most of the signed articles are by Ben Hunt and Lone Eagle. Are they
one and the same? If not, who are they?
Did Ben Hunt do these articles before or after he published his
Indiancraft book(s)? I speak of *book(s)* because I have The Complete
How-to Book of Indiancraft that was (according to the Editor's
Introduction) compiled from several that were published in 1930-40's.
Regarding the last two questions, the illustrations from Boys' Life
(including those in articles written by Lone Eagle) and Ben Hunt's book
and notably similar. Did Ben Hunt do his own illustrations?
