Mary Lee, it sounds like you are well on your way to a successful Eagle
Court of Honor. Take a look at Wood's Wisdom for some scripts for
Eagle Courts of Honor. There are several there which can be used "as
is" or adapted to your own needs. I am in the process of putting
together a group of Eagle CoH scripts and could send one or more to
you, if you like. (These come from various sources, including
adaptations of those in Wood's Wisdom.) I hope to make these available
to members of the list, once they are finally in shape.
The Eagle Charge (also called the Eagle Challenge) is a short
inspirational speech to the new Eagle Scout. It offers a challenge to
him for the future. There is a sheet which comes with the letter from
the Chief Scout Executive which contains a half dozen paragraphs which
can be easily used as the charge, or it can be freshly written by the
person giving it. The person who gives the charge is usually an Eagle
Scout, but need not be. It should be someone of significance to the
new Eagle Scout.
I hope these thoughts help and I wish you the best of luck. If I can
help further, please let me know.
