Since I think my is refering to my troop, I figured I'd put
in my two-cents worth. We don't refuse to attend our
district's camporee, the PLC has decided not to attend it.
The troop was invited to attend the neighboring district's
(same council) camporee a couple years ago, which we did.
The scouts prefer the smaller and (in my mind, at least)
better run camporee.
For the scoutmasters, we like going to this other camporee
because the scouts _want_ to go to it. When the troop was
going to our own district camporee, the scouts dreaded it,
and our attendance was consistantly poor.
