If you are coming down to Nashville for the BSA's National meeting and
are looking for a place to stay, may we suggest the "Chateau Scouter"
located right off Interstate 65 at the Scottsville/Bowling Green
(Greenwood) exit. The place is a hour's drive (at 65 miles an hour)
from the conference center complex. Due to several factors, the
largest is that Jessiann's graduation is set for that same week, and
our inability to leave our jobs for two whole days to come down, Jess
and I won't be going this year. It's a real shame, too, because I had
to turn down a speech!
The place is located two tenths of a mile north and west of Scottsville
Road (soon to be renamed Duncan Hines Boulevard if our community's tourist
folks have something to say about it...he was born here!) along Pascoe
Boulevard and Kenilwood Way.
We have two beds, a foldaway couch, and a quiet neighborhood with no
loud noise other than my watching CNN in the mornings and occasional
snoring! We also have lots of floor space both down and upstairs.
We also have "well-played with" toys and we encourage you to bring
your children as they won't get bored from the plentiful toy
We are only a short walk from the McDonalds, the Bob Evans, and the
Burger King in Greenwood, as well as to two great service stations and
a large shopping center complex. A short drive in either north or
south directions can get you to any kind of food you desire and more
expensive accommodations than what we offer (FREE...WHAT!?!? A Scouter
CHARGING for a place to stay...NEVER! Bring your patches!).
Finally, we have electronic mail access through Western (including
telnet so that you can read you mail) as well as through America
Give us a call and we'll leave the light on for ya! (I always wanted
to say that! *hehehehe*
(the preceeding was furnished by Chateau Scouter, not associated with
the BSA other than that the owners are Scouters...we LOVE company!)
Settummanque!@Man! 133 more things to reply to and then I can do the
laundry! What a life!
