I must add my voice of dismay to the cacophony this news has raised. I'm
wondering, in addition to the points Mike and Chris forward, Where is the
council president? My understanding (and I have been out of the loop for
a few years--just headin' back in now) was that the volunteers worked for
him, not for the DE.
In any case, it is difficult (at best) to fathom a violation of such
severity and encompassing all the volunteers in a district. |-( Just as in
the individual unit, continuity of adult leadership/advisorship is vital,
so, too, is the continuity of the infrastructure and support systems upon
which those leaders/advisers depend. If there is any way to bring it
about, it would seem IMHuO that a reconsideration may be in order to see
where lies the fault and where lies the folly.
Just my nickle's worth (inflation, ya know ;-) ).
