The solar cooker we used was made from 2 boxes. The outer box, (with a top)
was lined inside with foil, the inner box was lined and covered outside with
foil. Layer crumpled newspaper between the boxes. Make sure there is a layer
of paper between the bottoms of the inner and outer boxes. Paint a metal sheet
black. (We used a cookie sheet, it must fit inside the inner box). Cut a hole
in the lid of the top of the outer box the size of the inner box. Replace it
with a piece of glass. You will want to devise a mechanism to prop the glass
up with, depending on what you are cooking, and to get the best concentration
of solar energy on your food.
