NO MUD ALLOWED !!

At the 1993 national jambo I asked "WHY the challenge valley event
had been eliminated from the program?". I was told that the
Health and safty people had determined MUD to be a health hazzard
because of the potential for bacteria in the mud, and cuts
could get infected etc. So basicly it was the official policy
at the jambo that no program event could ententionaly have MUD
in the program area!!! That would rule out MUD football or
volley ball (ooze ball etc.).
I expect that might be a National rule by now, and extend to
summer camps and any planned program activity. Maybe some one
that has a connection to Health and Safty could verify the policy?
I guess you would have to use sterilized jello!
