Well -- The AOL award is important -- however, it does not do any good to withho

nterest to the boys of the troop. They can not go back and earn the award.
At the next pack meeting, make the AOL presentation, not the elaborate one, but
make it anyway. The boys CAN and are allowed to attend a pack meeting even if t
hey are in a troop. Thus, as you are correct, it is their choice, they should n
ot be given the award without recognition, and giving it to Dad does not count.
Just invite them to your next regularly scheduled Pack Meeting, present the aw
ards (simply) as they made the choice not to participate in your pack's elaborat
