Adult Religious Awards

I would like to add that they religious awards for scouters vary quite
a bit by denomination. In the United Methodist Church there are (at
least) two awards in addition to the God and Service Award. There is
the Cross and Flame which can be awarded by the local congregation and
the Torch Award which can be awarded at the conference level. The
first requires a minimum of five years service to Scouting (or similar
youth program) and the second requires a minimum of ten years service.
These awards are adminisitered through the National Assoiciation of
United Methodist Scouters (NAUMS).
I am very pleased to add that my wife and I each received the Cross and
Flame Award last Sunday when our congregation celebrated Scout Sunday.
It was also quite gratifying to see that we had the largest turnout of
youth for our Scout Sunday celebration that we have had for several
