Suggestions from the UK for "traditional" finger food - scones, strawberry jam
(jelly???) and whipped cream - known in all the best tourist areas as a "cream
tea". Cheese and cucumber sandwiches cut into small triangles with the crusts c
ut off. cheeses from around the world (Brie, edam, cheddar). As Thinking Day is
just one week after Shrove Tuesday (Feb15th) this year, you could indulge in g
ood old British-style pancakes - wider and thinner than US ones, eaten with lem
on and sugar. If you want to do it properly, have a "pancake race" with girls t
ossing the pancake out of the pan as they go.
I'll try and find some recipes for scones and pancakes tonight, and post them t
Have fun! Rachel Haigh.
