YES, Margaret, there are Girl Scout Leaders out there. I, too, am a Junior
Girl Scout Leader at the present time although I have worked with all the
levels at one time or another over the past 15 years.
I am constantly amazed at the wonderful ideas the girls themselves come up
with. At present we are working on the Theatre badege and just presented a
play to the parents last week. Plan to do it twice more for the Brownies and
for a retirement home. The girls expanded on the original script and costum-
I think the key in all youth programs is to have something for them to do at
all times especially at arrival time. When there is 3 or more and no activity
is planned...talk about chaos!
The Boy Scout leaders have been talking about camping. I vote a big yes at
any age level even though at times the parents are reluctant to let their
Brownies go away overnight. The girls (most) love it.
