------------deleted--- I called BSA National and was informed that there
was a write up on the new award in the publication that
> only the professional Scouters receive, "Prospeak" I believe is the name of
> the publication. I was told that the write up was in the May or June 1992
---NOPE -- nothing in the April, May, or June Prospeak. Am now having the rest
of the year copied for me, however, I already know it is not in the Sept., Oct,
or Nov. copies.
Will keep looking. Sounds like you got a "put off" answer from some underling
> appears that the Unit Commissioner or the District Camping Chairman is
> required to sign off on this award for each boy. The person at National told
> me that family camping was countable also for this award. ---
--Let's wait to find the info to get it straight. That is how things get off
wrong. All awards are signed by a commissioner of some sort somewhere along
the line, so that would not be unusual, also if it is a camping award, it is
also quite normal to have the district camping chairman also sign; the district
training chairman signs for your awards in training; the district advancement
chairman signs for all advancement awards.
As soon as I find out something I will let you all know.
