Question for Mike Walton or any one else that has run into this.
There is a revised camping log out for turn in with charters for the
National camping award and this new log indicates that there is a seperate
award for each Scout depending on days of camping. Since there was not any
other information in the package on the award, I called BSA National and was
informed that there was a write up on the new award in the publication that
only the professional Scouters receive, "Prospeak" I believe is the name of
the publication. I was told that the write up was in the May or June 1992
It appears that the Unit Commissioner or the District Camping Chairman is
required to sign off on this award for each boy. The person at National told
me that family camping was countable also for this award. I can see a real
headache coming up with the record keeping required.
Have any of you seen any thing on these changes?
