I still maintain, however, that equating the current situation
with the racial discrimination of the past is both disingenuous
and obfuscatory. One involves denying membership based upon skin
color, and the other involves denying membership to those who
refuse to sign the application. To me, it's a pretty big
Ok, but I still think that your insistence that this whole thing is a
form-filling issue instead of an issue of religion is an exercise in
playing games with semantics.
In any case, a big part of the difference is that you can't see
someone's religion nearly as easily as their race. The BSA policy is
most effective at discriminating against honest athiests.
