From what I know of agnostics, they are not sure whether they believe
in a "God" of any sort, hence the name (a=not, gnosis=knowledge (or
something along these lines, I'm an engineer, not a linguist)). This
is an important distinction, because an agnostic would not really be
able to pledge "Duty to God" in good conscience in many cases because
they aren't sure if there is a God.
