Hilding, I agree with you. I think EVERY unit should support the OA by
holding elections and contributing to the Lodge... and the OA should support
every Troop in encouraging the Council's camping program.
The only reason why I mentioned it is that OA elections are not a
requirement (just as having a Lodge is not required of a Council). We have
two troops in our Council where the SM refuses to hold OA elections (due to
a bad experience several years ago between him wnd the OA), and there's
really nothing we (the Lodge) can do about it but work on our PR to try and
change his mind.
