Last I remember seeing from a list, 6 day SCOUT summer camp would
be $140, with a $15 early bird discount until about Easter. ($125 net)
Camp Shoelkopf, Greater Niagara Frontier council, provides both
a water front lake, and a seperate boating/fishing lake, and well
as a centeral kitchen and dinning/cirus TENT!
At one time, the FIRST 2 leaders in camp (2 deep, required) got
to go free. Additional adults, and guests paid $45 per week or
$9 per day, for overnite guests.
Our troop provides both the BSA Popcorn sale, plus a HOLIDAY wreath
sale to help the scouts EARN there way to camp. Council also
provides some campership help for turly needy scouts. We have also
found camperships from VFW and American Legion groups as well as
local church mens groups etc.
