OK people -- is there a definitive answer on the inverted Bobcats?
(Kathie, Mike??) At PowWow, we were told in the ceremonies session
that it was forbidden by National.... 10 minutes later at the
talkback session, someone asked the Council Executive and he said
that it was fine, the other person was wrong in saying it is forbidden.
We've never considered it hazing, always asking BEFOREhand if it is
o>Ok to do, and if not, we do them first so they aren't singled out
(it just looks like we forgot to turn them upside down). I'm sensitive
to hazing, but I don't consider that ceremony (with permission) any
more hazing than lassoing them (western theme), hunting them down
while covered in fake fur, etc.
