From one who is currently there, being both a Cubmaster and a Scoutmaster at
the same time has both pro's and con's. As long as you have a well organized
Pack and Troop Committee, then the function of supervision of the program
goes very well. If one or both of the committees are not well organized, and
you find yourself in the mode of "do it all or it won't get done," then
Scouting can become a burden rather than the joy is really is.
My greatest joy in being a Scoutmaster lately has been in seeing some of
the boys that I watched as Tiger Cubs, grow through Cubs, and begin Webelos
now cross over into my Troop, wearing their Arrow Of Light. Of course,
that dosen't reduce the pride of being the Cubmaster that is sending them over!
My advice, if you have the time and enjoy the program, by all means, go for it!
