According to the radio this morning (WWDJ, 970AM, a Christian station
in Hackensack, NJ) the Girl Scouts voted to leave the wording of the
oath alone. Each individual may substitute what they wish for the word
I do not know how this is interpreted. Whether each girl says what she
means at the word "God" or if she just thinks it. I am sure that
explanations will have to go out to all Girl Scout offices.
I, also, hope that BSA does not even consider changing the Oath.
