I didn't see your email address in your message, so I will just respond
to the list. Our Pack took about 24 Webelos Scouts to the Discovery
Place, a hands on science museum which has a very nice ham station in it.
One of the volunteers, who is also a Scout leader, demonstrated amateur
television, morse code, two meter communication with repeaters, and DX
communication. We had several good contacts. The ones that come to mind
were in Colorado and Nova Scotia. I found no one from Scouts-l. The boys
were very interested and stayed with it for a couple of hours. I think a
couple have even decided to pursue a license of their own. I can't wait
until the boys get their patches.
